Cut the Rope 2

That’s right, you did not misread the title. According to an article by IGN, ZeptoLab‘s famous puzzle game that had people going crazy on the iPhone/iPod, iPad as well as Android devices will be seeing a fully fledged sequel (as opposed to an update).

Cut the Rope has seen numerous updates, bringing 150 levels of enjoyment to fans around the world. And according to IGN, they’ve managed to get their hands on some early storyboard pics and promo art for the sequel. You will notice in the new icon for instance that there are 2 ropes being cut, which is further proof that this will most likely indeed be a sequel.

From what we can glean from IGN’s story, the new game will also contain a new character joining Om Nom named The Professor, so we’re wondering how that’s going to work out.

As of now, there is no official word from ZeptoLab on this, and as such, no official release date, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated as we get more information.

Cut the Rope to receive version 1.4 “Toy box” update

Chillingo has announced that update 1.4 for Cut the Rope is going to be released soon. The update to the famous logic based physics game is highly anticipated, as several new additions have been made to the game, including some mechanics ones.

Apparently, with this “Toy Box” upgrade, players will be seeing new bouncy mechanics via large red rubbery platforms, and they will also find several hidden drawings that they can collect, all throughout 25 new levels.

Version 1.4 is said to also contain a “Star Key”, that can unlock all levels, something that those who have a bit of trouble with the logics part but enjoy the game will be very happy to use (although rumor is that this will be an in-app purchase).

We doubt there’s anyone who hasn’t already played ZeptoLab’s Cut the Rope title, but if you haven’t, be sure to pick it up and get the feel of the game before update 1.4 goes live.
