iOS Game ‘Cut The Rope’ Wins BAFTA Award

In London, one of the iOS game of iPod Touch and iPhone Cut The Rope has won the British Academy Video Games Awards (BAFTA) which pays attention to the performance in television, films, and, yes, even video games, and then awards their eminence. The application is the first for winning this precious award. Cut The Rope is published by Chillingo which is a division of Electronics Arts and it was developed by Zeptolab. The game has already been sold over 6 million copies across the globe.

By achieving this precious winning award Cut The Rope not only taken the top place in British Academy’s “Best Handheld Award Category” but also proved its popularity and quality among the challengers such as Sony PSP and Nintendo DS.

The game was the only iOS title designated in the list along with PSP and Nintendo DS big-hitters God of War, Sonic Colours, Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4, Professor Layton and The Lost Future all competing for the same title. As an iOS game it also marks the first time winning an award at the UK-based event in its seventh year.

It is also to be mentioned that, Cut The Rope was also awarded as the best iPhone game by PocketGamer and earlier this month, from the Game Developers Choice Award this game also awarded as best handled game.
